Entergy's Fall 2006 RFP for Limited- and Intermediate-Term Resources - Entergy Louisiana, LLC and Entergy Gulf States, Inc., Ex Parte. On May 15, 2006, Entergy Louisiana, LLC and Entergy Gulf States, Inc. provided notice to the Louisiana Public Service Commission (“LPSC” or the “Commission”) that Entergy Services, Inc. (“ESI”) intends to conduct a Fall 2006 Request for Proposals for Limited- and Intermediate-Term Supply Side Resources (“Fall 2006 RFP”) in which the LPSC-jurisdictional Entergy Operating Companies will participate, pursuant to the Commission’s General Order dated February 16, 2004. ESI currently plans to post its Draft Fall 2006 RFP on or about August 31, 2006 and, if approved by the LPSC, its Final Fall 2006 RFP on or about October 24, 2006, with such postings to be made on the following website: https://emo-web.no.entergy.com/ENTRFP/index.htm. ESI has selected Elizabeth Benson with Energy Associates and Dave Patton with Potomac Economics to be the Independent Monitors for its Fall 2006 RFP. ESI currently intends to seek to acquire limited-term (one to three years) and intermediate-term (three to five years) resources through this RFP. The specific product types and amounts to be solicited have not yet been finalized. The Commission has directed that an informal collaborative process be conducted by the LPSC Staff in connection with the Fall 2006 RFP process, and the Companies will participate in this process and will provide additional information regarding the specific product types and amounts to be solicited in connection with the informal collaborative.
